NB moves to new offices

April 27, 2021

While many businesses are scaling back their office space in response to the trend towards more home working, NB is doing the opposite with a move into bigger premises.

NB is still based in the Stewart Building, in the heart of Lerwick's town centre on the harbourfront, but we now occupy the much larger space formerly used by the civil engineering practice Arch Henderson.

The move follows continued steady growth over the past few years. We have an expanding client base across a variety of different sectors, ranging from retail brands and inter-governmental organisations to service-based businesses and destination marketing organisations, such as Promote Shetland.

The services NB offers have also evolved over time. The business started as a web design and development agency but now offers a full suite of digital marketing services, including brand strategy and content marketing.

Inside the new NB offices. Fun fact: the tennis ball you see on the chair has been with NB since the beginning in 2002. It's become an unofficial company mascot, moving with the team from office to office!

Commenting on the move to the new office space, NB managing director David Nicol said: "We're delighted to be moving to a bigger, better space within the Stewart Building. It's testament to the growth of the company, the continued hard work of our team and the ongoing support of our clients that we're now in a position to scale up.

"Working from home will always have its benefits – and we'll continue to make use of clever models of remote working – but nothing quite beats getting together as a team to talk through a new project and to bounce ideas of each other. Our team is expanding too, so it makes sense to have more physical space in which to work. We also now have a dedicated room where we can host clients and hold meetings.

"It's an exciting time, not just for NB, but for businesses in Shetland generally – many of which were, or are still in, the Stewart Building and moving to bigger premisies to accommodate their growing enterprises.

"A big thank you to the Lerwick Port Authority who assisted us with the move and for being so accommodating with everything."
